PHILIPS 30PW9100 HDTV

The agony continues

Photos below show what TV picture looked like after first warranty service. Service company replaced main board, but could not figure out how get TV out of factory service mode (Instructions are on in the FAQ section of Philips web site, under "How do I get the F off the screen?"). So the technician then removed EPROM from my old board and installed it in new board. Technician was then unable to enter service mode to correct geometry, stated "that will have to do for now, at least you have a picture". He didn't call back for over a week. Lucky me!

Blurred image is due to camera shake while taking photo. Actual image was sharp and clear- but had insufficient horizontal width, poor linearity, and extreme barrel distortion.
